The Bollywood Workout is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood moves. Some moves done in this class you can even see in familiar Oscar-winning films such as Slumdog Millionaire! This unique dance mixes cardiovascular with fun, and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. You can dance bare foot or in sneakers. Get ready for a fun trip around the globe. This gentle class combines yoga postures, breathing, and meditation. No experience is required. Yoga provides a beautiful way to softly wake the body up and stretch yourself out. In this exciting two session class explore color and color effects with various materials, including painted paper. Collage is a wonderful, enjoyable way to experience art making. You may feel that you can’t draw a straight line, but that’s the beauty of collage! You don’t need any learned skills and with your instructor’s guidance and exciting materials, participants can do beautiful work in this medium.

Supplies

Any paints or colors you have on hand: paint or pastel, oil pastel or crayons, Magazines, a 14″ X 17″ white drawing pad, any papers you have on hand; wrapping paper, printed papers or packing papers, 1-inch trim brush from the hardware store, two glue sticks; scissors; paper towels, Newspaper; a pencil, eraser and a ruler. Minimum of 10 students. Ages 15 years and up.

Defensive Driving: #CLS011

(NYS DMV approved 6 hour Empire Safety Council of New York)

In this New York DMV approved 6-hour course each student will receive a workbook, updated NYS DMV Driver’s Manual and temporary course completion certificate. Graduates qualify for a reduction of up to four points from their driving records for violations received during the 18-months prior to completion of this course. Students passing this course also become eligible for a minimum insurance reduction of 10% for three years in the base rate of liability, personal injury protection (no-fault) and collision premiums. All principal vehicle operators are eligible including; all drivers, regardless of violation accident record; senior citizens and motorcycle drivers. There is no formal testing and this program is recognized by all NYS insurance companies.
