Bollywood/Dance fitness for beginners

The Bollywood Workout is an beginners exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood moves. Some moves done in this class you can even see in familiar Oscar-winning films such as Slumdog Millionaire! Get ready for a fun trip around the globe. Wear comfy cloths and get ready to Mumbai your bum-bi!

This fun-filled class mixes Pilates and boxing moves into a muscle sculpting, core-centric interval workout, using a class format that’s both fun and challenging. Beginners are welcome and will appreciate building up to this great workout with your helpful trainer!

Easy as Pie: Give a Piece a Chance

Butter or lard? How long do I knead the dough? How many apples? Flour or cornstarch to thicken? How do I keep the dough from sticking or cracking? How do you get that shiny glaze on top? How do I know when my pie is done? These are some of the many questions that Chef Mary will answer. You will never fear dough again! In this three hour session students will learn to create amazing pies! Class includes hands-on instruction, ingredients, and baking time. Each person will leave with their own finished pie.

Journalism in the Time of Trump

Journalism is under attack like never before. Steve Israel, an award-winning reporter, columnist and editor for the Times Herald-Record for nearly 30 years, will explore the role of journalism during the Trump administration in this three-session course. It will focus on fake news and how to spot it, along with providing an inside look at how real journalism works. The course will also offer attendees the chance to report and write their own news stories.

Notary Public Workshop

This workshop will prepare you for the NYS Notary Public test and will provide a comprehensive view of the Notary Public office. Laws, concepts, and procedures will be clearly explained and clarified with examples being provided to illuminate situations that a Notary Public officer is likely to encounter. Topics will include avoiding conflicts of interest, maintaining professional ethics, charging proper fees, handling special situations, when to defer to an attorney, and minimizing legal liability.
