SUNY Sullivan, a two-year comprehensive community college ranked eighth amongst 121 two-year colleges in New York State for excellence, is seeking to hire a visionary leader as President of the college. As part of the State University of New York system, SUNY Sullivan’s mission is to provide programs in Liberal Arts, Health Sciences, Hospitality & Tourism, Business & Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, and technical and support programs that educate, train, inspire and empower its students and the broader community.

SUNY Sullivan models sustainable actions and promotes socially and environmentally responsible citizenship. Its majestic 405-acre hilltop campus is nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains just 90 minutes northwest of the mega-metropolitan New York City. Its enrollment is a demographically diverse population of 1,612 students, of which 821 are full-time and 791 are part-time. Two thirds of these students are residents of Sullivan County, and the remaining third come from New York City and other metropolitan areas. The College is seeking a visionary leader with proven talents and abilities to lead the dedicated 110-person faculty and staff through this time of expansion and change.

The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education leadership and/or administration at the community college level. He/she will need to be politically savvy about both local and state level politics, and be highly knowledgeable of NYS education rules and regulations.
