Medicare 101

Will you turn 65 soon? Will you soon be eligible for Medicare? This class will give you a better understanding of Medicare and how Medicare works. Learn how and when to enroll, as well as insurance options that are available. Review and compare Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. Explore and evaluate Original Medicare, Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Supplement Insurance and Medicare Advantage Plans. Receive the most up-to-date information and simplify the choices you need to make.

Notary Public Workshop

(SUNY Sullivan Students FREE with valid ID)

Cost: $89 per person/$84 seniors
Date: Thursday, April 4 from 12:30 pm-4:30 pm

This workshop will prepare you for the NYS Notary Public test and will provide a comprehensive view of the Notary Public office. Laws, concepts, and procedures will be clearly explained and clarified with examples being provided to illuminate situations that a Notary Public officer is likely to encounter. Topics will include: Avoiding conflicts of interest, maintaining professional ethics, charging proper fees, handling special situations, when to defer to an attorney and minimizing legal liability.

Design & Color

Cost: $150 person/$145 seniors
Date: Tuesdays, April 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm

This class is a condensed version of SUNY Sullivan’s “Theory & History of Design & Color”. It is a project-based class that explores a variety of design principles and elements including: Design Evolution, Line, Shape, Form, Volume & Color in an art historical context. Hands-on projects include critical design decision making, color mixing, and a variety of graphic design related exercises. Supplies provided by instructor.

Acrylic Pour Painting

Cost: $129 per person/$124 seniors
Date: Saturday, May 4 and 11 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm

Whether you’ve painted before or think you are just not that artistic, this acrylic pour workshop requires no artistic skills whatsoever! This workshop will introduce you to a way of using acrylic paint that you will enjoy so much, you might not want to stop. In fact, you might actually unleash a hidden talent you never knew you had. Remember, no prior experience needed; just an open mind, the desire to learn something new, and the ability to have fun and enjoy what you create. Supplies Provided.

All foods selected will be sourced locally from area farms to create a mouthwatering meal. During this three-hour event, you’ll learn new kitchen techniques and prep skills as well as how to select the best seasonal food items for each dish. To complete the evening, you’ll dine on your creation!
