SUNY Sullivan’s facilities include a complete, three-camera studio, digital audio production studios and an Apple-based HD Lab with nonlinear editing, motion graphics, and digital audio workstations. Through guided-learning, students create a variety of digital content that culminates in a documentary film and an on-line portfolio that is used for job hunting or for transfer opportunities. The facilities are also available for student independent productions.
SUNY Sullivan’s Media Arts program takes a hands-on approach in which students in our lab-based courses are creating productions from the first week of classes. In addition to production courses, students learn media history, writing, and criticism for a well-rounded background. On-campus or off-campus internships provide each student with real world experience.
