Most of SUNY Sullivan’s graduates at Saturday’s Commencement looked out to the audience to find their parents’ smiling faces. But Naomi Moody only had to look in front of her on the stage to see her mother, Donna Moody, receiving her own diploma.

The pair from Hurleyville both received associate’s degrees in liberal arts, humanities and science.

And while many students can’t imagine sharing classes with a parent, Naomi insists it wasn’t weird. Though they sat on opposite sides of the room, Donna says that “we actually did our homework together”.
