New Music Production Class Announced
Share on Twitter!“There’s been a lot of organic interest from students in having a music production class on campus,” says Luck. “As a musician and as someone who has a great interest in different musical styles and historical periods, I thought that this might be a good opportunity for me to lend my musical expertise in a way that benefits the students and wider campus community.”
The class has no pre-requisites, and serves as an introduction to the recording studio, designed especially for students with no background
in music. Students gain an overall understanding of the principles of studio recording and multitrack mixing.
There is a lot of musical talent on campus,” Luck points out, “and my hope is that this course will help students hone and craft their skillsets. Also, along with video and audio production, music remains an important part of the media landscape, and looking ahead music production may have a more consistent role in our Media Arts program at SUNY Sullivan.”
