On Wednesday, September​ 14th, SUNY Sullivan is hosting a Solarize Sullivan Workshop in the Student Union, which includes a campus tour of renewable energy systems ranging from solar, to wind, and Geothermal. Following the tour, an information session will take place in the Student Union.

Solarize Sullivan is a time-limited opportunity for Sullivan County homeowners and businesses to get:

The Solarize Sullivan campaign is a non-profit, community effort. Steering committee members include local advocates for solar energy, community leaders, including sustainability experts, plus business owners and residents who have already gone solar. SUNY Sullivan Board Member Patricia Adams, and faculty members Kathy Scullion and Larry Reeger are all members.

The campaign receives support from the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) under Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s NY-Sun Initiative. It is run by RenewableNY, a program of Catskill Mountainkeeper. Renewable NY works to aid the state’s transition to clean, renewable energy from dirty fossil fuels and helps job seekers find their match in New York’s rapidly growing clean energy industry.
