6:00-8:00 PM Solarize Sullivan information session in the Student Union.
Solarize Sullivan is a time-limited opportunity for Sullivan County homeowners and businesses to get:
- clear, trustworthy information on going solar
- a free site assessment from a pre-qualified installer selected through a competitive bidding and vetting process
- a group discount for those who sign up with the campaign
- By increasing solar installations in the area, we expect to increase green energy jobs!
The Solarize Sullivan campaign is a non-profit, community effort. Steering committee members include local advocates for solar energy, community leaders, including sustainability experts, plus business owners and residents who have already gone solar. SUNY Sullivan Board Member Patricia Adams, and faculty members Kathy Scullion and Larry Reeger are all members.
The campaign receives support from the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) under Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s NY-Sun Initiative. It is run by RenewableNY, a program of Catskill Mountainkeeper. Renewable NY works to aid the state’s transition to clean, renewable energy from dirty fossil fuels and helps job seekers find their match in New York’s rapidly growing clean energy industry.
