SUNY Sullivan models sustainable actions and promotes socially and environmentally responsible citizenship. Its majestic 405-acre hilltop campus is nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains just 90 minutes northwest of the mega-metropolitan New York City. Its enrollment is a demographically diverse population of 1,612 students, of which 821 are full-time and 791 are part-time. Two thirds of these students are residents of Sullivan County, and the remaining third come from New York City and other metropolitan areas. The College is seeking a visionary leader with proven talents and abilities to lead the dedicated 110-person faculty and staff through this time of expansion and change.
The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education leadership and/or administration at the community college level. He/she will need to be politically savvy about both local and state level politics, and be highly knowledgeable of NYS education rules and regulations.
