Students attended traditional Cha no Yu (Zen tea ceremony)

On Saturday, October 5, SUNY Sullivan students from the Japanese Class, East Asian History Class, Culture Club, and The Asian American Friendship Club attended a traditional Cha no Yu (Zen tea ceremony) at the Ellenville Library.

The ceremony was led by members of the Mid-Hudson Japanese American Association, with around 30 people in attendance, including several from SUNY Sullivan. The event provided a serene and meaningful opportunity for participants to connect with Japanese culture and the philosophy of Zen.
