About SUNY Sullivan
SUNY Sullivan is an open-access community college and the only institution of higher education in Sullivan County. We are a forward-looking, student-centered SUNY campus offering more than 40 degree programs, certificates, and micro-credentials—supporting learners at every stage of their educational journey.

Our Campus
Set on a beautiful 405-acre campus designed by the renowned New York firm Edward Durell Stone and Associates, SUNY Sullivan blends modern learning spaces with a deep commitment to sustainability and hands-on education.
Campus features include:
- Classrooms, labs, and collaborative learning spaces
- A 275-seat theater
- A 30,000-square-foot gymnasium
- Residential housing for 45 students
- An organic farm and apiary
- Geothermal heating and cooling
- A solar farm and wind turbine
SUNY Sullivan is also deeply connected to our region through strong community partnerships, including Sullivan County BOCES, the Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development, Garnet Health, New Hope Community, the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development, The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association, Sullivan 180, The Center for Discovery, and the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce—along with many other local and regional organizations that help strengthen student success and community impact.
Strategic Planning: 2026–2030
In fall 2025, SUNY Sullivan announced the re-opening of its strategic planning process. The Board of Trustees and college leadership determined that changing conditions—both at the college and across Sullivan County—present a meaningful opportunity to shape SUNY Sullivan’s future with clarity and purpose.
