SUNY Sullivan announces the launch of its Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Spring 2025 cohort. The EOP provides tailored support services to help students enroll and succeed in college. These services include hands-on academic and career advising, personal counseling, and tutoring from enrollment through graduation. Modest financial assistance is available to cover costs such as textbooks and supplies. Students also benefit from individualized and group tutoring, ongoing student success workshops, and the Summer Bridge Program, which prepares incoming freshmen for college life.
A cornerstone of the program is the Pre-Freshman Winter Bridge Program, mandatory for all incoming EOP students. Running from January 7 to January 17, 2025, the program includes virtual sessions during its first week and on-campus activities during the second. Students will complete assignments, attend workshops, and participate in tutoring and academic counseling, ensuring a strong foundation for their college journey.
Classes for the Spring 2025 EOP cohort are set to begin on January 22, 2025. Applications are now open, with a submission deadline of January 2, 2025.
To qualify, applicants must be New York State residents for at least 12 months prior to enrollment, hold a high school diploma or equivalent with a GPA between 70 and 85, enroll as full-time students, and meet SUNY’s income guidelines for the 2025-26 academic year.
Prospective students are encouraged to apply soon to join SUNY Sullivan’s EOP Spring 2025 cohort. For more information or to apply, visit SUNY Sullivan’s Educational Opportunity Program webpage or contact the EOP office at eop@sunysullivan.edu, or by calling 845-434-5750 x3187.
