Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions plays a vital role in supporting the college’s enrollment goals through strategic outreach, relationship-building, and personalized guidance of prospective students. This position is responsible for fostering connections with area high schools, conducting campus tours, attending college fairs and community events, and providing a high level of customer service to help applicants navigate the admissions process. The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions reports to the Director of Recruitment and Admissions for assignment of duties and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and equity in higher education
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for recruitment events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in college admissions, recruitment, or financial aid preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Calendly, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service to all prospective students and their families
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach to regional high schools and develop strong relationships with guidance counselors
- Represent the college at local and regional college fairs and community events
- Communicate with prospective students and applicants through phone, text, email, and in-person meetings
- Lead individual and group campus tours for students and employees as needed
- Support applicants throughout the enrollment process from initial inquiry through registration
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all academic offerings, including degrees, certificates, microcredentials, and articulation agreements
- Plan and coordinate on-campus visitation days and admissions presentations
- Collaborate with the One Stop Center and academic departments to support seamless enrollment
- Serve as the admissions liaison to academic divisions, providing recruitment guidance and coordination
- Analyze enrollment data and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies
- Utilize technology tools to streamline and enhance recruitment efforts
- Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) for international students, ensuring compliance with SEVIS regulations and supporting international applicants through the visa and enrollment process
- Perform additional admissions-related duties as assigned by the Director.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Evening hours and some weekends required
- Communicating remotely and in-person with students
- Indoor office settings, with moderate noise from equipment and frequent interruptions
- Travel locally and longer distances by vehicle is necessary
- Typical light-duty physical demands: sitting, standing, and walking for long periods, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 lbs (e.g., files, equipment)
- Stairs or moving between buildings is required

Salary & Application
