SUNY Sullivan is inviting adults across the county to take the next step toward their educational and career goals at a special Adult Learner Information and Registration Session on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Welcome Center on campus.
Designed specifically for adult learners, the free session—themed “It’s Never Too Late to Learn!”—will showcase flexible and affordable options for earning a college degree, advancing a career, or completing high school equivalency requirements.
Participants will discover a wide range of opportunities and support services, including:
- Free college options through the SUNY Reconnect program, which offers free tuition to eligible New York residents ages 25–55 who enroll in select programs.
- High school equivalency pathways that allow them to earn a diploma while simultaneously working toward a college degree.
- GED preparation resources available through the SUNY Sullivan ATTAIN Lab, which provides free academic training and GED exam preparation.
- Student success support, including credit for life experience, flexible scheduling, and one-on-one advising to help adult learners succeed at every step.
Recognizing that childcare can often be a barrier to continuing education, SUNY Sullivan is also removing that obstacle with a simple promise: “No Babysitter? No Problem!” Attendees are encouraged to bring their children—volunteers will lead fun, age-appropriate activities while parents participate in the session.
“This event is all about opening doors,” said Christina Buckler, SUNY Sullivan’s director of recruiting and admissions. “Whether you’re hoping to finish what you started, change careers, or set an example for your family, SUNY Sullivan has the tools and support to help you succeed.”
