Program Summary:

Earners of this badge will be prepared to obtain a role in the culinary and baking industry with the foundational skills such as safe handling and preparation of food, kitchen safety, kitchen equipment functionality and product identification. After completing this program, students will be able to implement industry standards and understand the structure of a culinary operation; demonstrate the ability to utilize technology effectively in their area of study through daily practices, research and development, and problem solving; and utilize appropriate mathematical techniques such as weighing, measuring, and recipe conversion.
