Avenue Q Audition Notice

The SUNY Sullivan Theater Program is proud to announce auditions for AVENUE Q, Music and lyrics by Robert López and Jeff Marx and book by Jeff Whitty. Directed by Jessica López-Barkl, Theater Professor at SUNY Sullivan.

Auditions will be held September 12-13, 2023, 6-9 PM.

Roles in AVENUE Q are open to high school students, college students, and community members that are female, male, female-identifying, male-identifying, and non-binary actors, as well as actors of any ethnicity. See the Character Breakdown for specifics.

When:

Auditions for AVENUE Q will be September 12-13, 2023, 6-9 PM.

AVENUE Q will perform November 10-11 and 15-13, at 8 PM, November 12, 2023 at 2 PM

Seelig Theatre, 112 College Road, Loch Sheldrake, NY, 12759, the E-building

What to Prepare for auditions:

Auditions will consist of a 16-32 bar cutting from a musical theater show, as well as a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue of your choosing reflecting the role(s) you are auditioning for. An accompanist will be available. Video submissions will be accepted for non-local actors.

Rehearsals will be held Tuesday-Friday starting September 14, 2023.
