Introduction to Tai Chi

Cost: $10 per class or $110 for all 12 classes / $105 for seniors
Date: Mondays and Wednesdays from March 19 to May 2 from 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm (No classes on 3/26 and 3/28)

The ancient practice of Tai Chi is clinically proven to be one of the most effective exercises to improve health, fitness and relaxation. Tai Chi consists of fluid, gentle and relaxed movements suitable for anyone and can be practiced almost anywhere. Tai Chi Chuan is an on-going learning process. In this introductory class participants will improve health & strength. Dress in comfortable clothing.

Making Your Vision Board

Cost: $49 per person/$45 senior

A vision board is an inspirational collage. It’s a pictorial representation of your vision—and a powerful way to make your dreams more tangible and attainable. A vision board can be used to help set goals for the spring, summer and year ahead. It can also focus on a specific area like career, business, home life, spiritual growth, well-being or relationships. In this workshop, collage artist Ramona Jan will guide participants as they making a personal vision board that is inspiring, artistically balanced and beautiful. All supplies will be furnished, just bring a snack.

Beginners Watercolor and Drawing

Cost: $110 per person/$105 senior

Explore the basics of still-life watercolor painting in this series of classes for all levels. Drawing for composition, technique, and color mixing will be covered to help you develop your own creative style. Materials will be provided, or bring your own supplies.

Voices for All

“Wow, you have a great voice!” How many times have you heard that? Or maybe you listen to your favorite audiobooks, commercials, or cartoon characters and think, “I could do that!” Explore the voiceover industry with your instructor, a professional, working voice actor from Voices For All. In this onetime, 2 hour, introductory class, you’ll also learn about the different types of voiceovers and the tools you’ll need to find success. Your instructor will take notes as you read a real script, and offer some coaching to improve your delivery. You’ll receive a professional voiceover evaluation later. 18 and over. You owe it to yourself to finally explore the possibilities of this fun and rewarding job!

Notary Public Workshop

This workshop will prepare you for the NYS Notary Public test and will provide a comprehensive view of the Notary Public office. Laws, concepts, and procedures will be clearly explained and clarified with examples being provided to illuminate situations that a Notary Public officer is likely to encounter. Topics will include avoiding conflicts of interest, maintaining professional ethics, charging proper fees, handling special situations, when to defer to an attorney, and minimizing legal liability.
