Paul Gerry Fieldhouse
The Paul Gerry Fieldhouse is a 30,000-square-foot facility featuring a fitness center, cardio room, indoor running track and basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and racquetball courts. The building had a major facelift in the summer of 2007, receiving a new state-of-the-art floor, lighting system upgrade, and interior paint job. In 2008 it was connected to the college’s geothermal heating and cooling system, making it the largest enclosed air-conditioned facility in the area.
In addition, there are men’s and women’s locker rooms, visiting and varsity team rooms, a classroom, offices, and “The General Store” concession stand.
In addition to college sporting events, the fieldhouse serves as a popular venue for community events and gatherings.
The Diamond at Generals Park
The Diamond at Generals Park, an on-campus facility located behind the main campus, features a home double bullpen, state-of-the-art batting cage, 2-story press box, and seating for over 200. Dimensions are 348' down the lines and 370' to CF.
The Courts at SUNY Sullivan
The “Courts at SUNY Sullivan” is our outdoor athletic facility that contains two college regulation basketball courts and a regulation sand volleyball court. It is located just behind the Residence Halls.
Esports Arena
With Esports and gaming at the forefront of popular culture, the global Esports market hit over $1.08 billion, an almost 50 percent increase from the previous year. According to Newzoo—a network for game market insights and analytics—the Esports industry's global market revenue is predicted to reach $1.62 billion in 2024. As of 2021, the worldwide Esports audience size reached 474 million people, which is expected to grow to over 577 million viewers by 2024.
In response to the overwhelming growth of Esports, SUNY Sullivan is proud to welcome a Generals Esports Team, complete with a state-of-the-art arena. Esports fits that niche for students who don't feel they fit in other traditional sports, so get ready to play your favorite Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch games in a stress-free, social environment.
"When I arrived at SUNY Sullivan for orientation, I came across the Esports table and joined right then and there," said SUNY Sullivan student Abigail Jacobson. "From then on, it's been amazing. Watching our teams compete, cheering them on, and just being able to play videogames with my new friends is an unforgettable experience."
