Adjunct – Hudson Link (PT)

Part-time faculty will teach college credit courses in the Sullivan
Correctional Facility located in Fallsburg, NY. Inmates pursue a liberal arts
degree which includes several electives, so the potential exists to offer a
variety of courses. Adjunct must be cleared to teach inside the facility, by
NY State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS).
QUALIFICATIONS:
 The ideal candidate will have two or more years teaching experience,
preferably at the Community College level.
 A Master’s Degree is required.
 Must communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and
administrators.
 Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
 Possess a strong commitment to student success.
 Demonstrate continual professional development.
 Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Faculty are required to follow/teach the SUNY Sullivan curriculum for
all classes taught at the facility.
 Faculty must submit all course outlines for approval by the Associate
Dean for Assessment and Instruction.
 Faculty must keep accurate records of grades and attendance on
Brightspace and submit required grades and attendance reports on
time.

Faculty is expected to assume responsibility for participating in SUNY
Sullivan Shared Governance, activities and to work constructively within
them to further the mission, vision, and strategic directions of the College.

resumes will be on-going. Salary is determined by a candidate’s rank at

SUNY Sullivan, based on experience, education, and contact hours. The full
salary range is $655 per contact hour to $740 per contact hours. In
addition, $100 per contact hour will be paid for travel.
