Why Choose College in High School?

The CIHS program isn’t just about harder classes; it’s about a smarter path to a degree. By taking college-level courses in your own high school, you can:

  • Save Money: Dramatically reduce the future cost of your college education.
  • Save Time: Earn credits that apply toward SUNY General Education requirements.
  • Build Confidence: Experience college-level rigor in a supportive, familiar environment.
  • Earn a Degree Early: Students in our Fallsburg and Eldred “Pathways” programs can even work toward an Associate’s Degree while still in high school.

“Students gain confidence, save time and money, and begin to see themselves as college-bound long before graduation.” — Jason Kaplan, CIHS Coordinator
