The SUNY Sullivan Theater Program is proud to announce its production of Angels in America: Millenium Approaches, by Tony Kushner.  The production will run from May 3rd through May 13th, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00pm, Sundays at 2:00pm, in SUNY Sullivan’s Seelig Theater, with a suggested donation of $10. It is under the direction of Nick López, an adjunct professor of theater and speech.

In the first part of Tony Kushner’s epic, set in 1980s New York City, a gay man is abandoned by his lover when he contracts the AIDS virus, and a closeted Mormon lawyer’s marriage to his pill-popping wife stalls. Other characters include the infamous McCarthy-ite lawyer Roy Kohn; Ethel Rosenberg; a former drag queen who works as a nurse; and an angel.
