Hi! Although Tamara is my official name, most people call me Tammy. I started working at SUNY Sullivan in 2008 as a professional math and science tutor. A year later I became an adjunct instructor teaching Introduction to Biology. After several years of tutoring and teaching, I got an opportunity to become a full time Academic Advisor in the Learning Center in March 2013. I love my job as an advisor! I received a BA in Geography from SUNY Geneseo and a MS in Geo-Environmental Studies from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. I have had a variety of jobs through the years including being a national park ranger, a high school science teacher, a children’s librarian, and a mom to two great kids! In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities. I have climbed all the Catskill Mountains over 3500 feet to become a member of the Catskill 3500 Club and I love to ski and work at Belleayre Mountain as a mountain Ambassador. |
