CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Valid NYS Driver’s License
Must pass drug test & DOT physical

CDL A Tractor Trailer Training

(160 hours | $5,500)

DAYTIME (4 weeks)
Mon.-Thurs. (7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.)
---
WEEKENDS (8 weeks)
Sat. & Sun. (7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.)

CDL B Driver Training

(120 hours | $4,125)

DAYTIME (3 weeks)
Mon.-Thurs. (7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.)
---
WEEKENDS (6 weeks)
Sat. & Sun. (7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.)

The curriculum for both the Class A and Class B courses meets Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) theory requirements and prepares students for the required knowledge and skills tests to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.

A class A license is considered the “universal” CDL, providing the opportunity to drive multiple types of commercial trucks and tractor trailers. A class B license also allows operation of different types of vehicles such as straight trucks and dump trucks, but it is more limiting than a class A CDL.
