SUNY Sullivan is offering an Introduction to Emergency Medical Technician Basic Course from June 1 – August 16, 2022

The Summer 2022 EMT Basic course provides a hands-on, interactive and engaging learning
experience through classroom simulation and field experience. Participants will acquire the skills
to assess and care for patients at the scene of an incident and while transporting patients by
ambulance to the hospital. Students will also learn to manage respiratory, cardiac, and trauma
emergencies. Our instructors are committed to each student’s success, preparing them for the
NYS practical and NYS written certification exams. EMTs are in high demand, with substantial
projected job growth for the future. SUNY Sullivan is the perfect place for students to launch
their Emergency Services Careers.

The EMT Basic course will run from June 1, 2022 to August 16, 2022 on the SUNY Sullivan
campus. SUNY Mandate requires that all on-campus students must be FULLY vaccinated
and boosted. To register for the course, students must provide proof of vaccination.

The cost of tuition for the EMT Basic course is $700. Payment is due in full prior to the start
of the course. Exam fees and text materials are the student’s responsibility. If a student is
sponsored, following NYS certification, the qualified sponsor may submit a DOH Form 3312 for
tuition reimbursement.
